Often invoking the heart, our organic red rose petals from Rosa damascena are an alluring and delightful addition to potpourri mixes and herbal sachets. Dried rose petals can also be used in botanical tea blends, culinary infusions, and topical creations such as body sprays and floral baths. Rose flowers are cooling and drying, slightly anti- microbial, and astringent. The flowers are often combined with lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and hawthorn (Crataegus spp.) blossoms to help with grief and loss. Rose can be used topically to heal sunburns, rashes, and stings. It is a traditional remedy for stagnant female reproductive disorders, including heavy and painful menstrual cramps.
